What you'll do...


What you'll do:

  • Assists in providing guidance to small groups of two to three engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects by providing pertinent documents, directions, examples, and timeline.
  • Researching and identifying needed solutions; determining implementation designs; providing guidance regarding implications of new and enhanced systems; identifying short- and long-term solutions; and directing users to appropriate contacts for issues outside of associate's domain.
  • Determining needed solution based on ROI and value add to the business; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames); writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; and ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.

What you'll bring:

  • Software development skills delivering distributed systems and microservices with disaster recovery and fault tolerance. Experience using Scala, Spark, and AKKA; designing scalable and maintainable software systems using Azure, WCNP, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Docker leveraging SQL and NoSQL database schemas for data-driven applications using Postgres, BigQuery, and Azure SQL;
  • Test automation skills for performing unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development (TDD) using ScalaTest; developing and improving software delivery of CI/CD pipelines using Azure, WCNP, Looper, and Concord.
  • DevOps experience with monitoring Splunk logs for application issues; capabilities with troubleshooting incidents and documenting root cause analysis; ability to clearly communicate complex issues in a simple and professional manner with business partners.
