Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Key member of the Wearables Leadership team with responsibility for driving the Drug Delivery Devices and global HR strategy.
  • Key member of the Drug Delivery Devices HR leadership team, providing critical input into design and execution of the OU HR strategy and ensuring alignment across the Operating Unit
  • Leads the HR team in the execution of key priorities and for the Wearables platform, encompassing both Scottdale Operations Centre and Phoenix Devices. Continuously invests in the development and growth of the HR team.
  • Drives key projects across the Drug Delivery Devices Operating Unit for consistency and a uniformed application of existing policies and processes.
  • Partners with project leads to further develop and implement process within the Drug Delivery Devices Operating Unit and global HR team.
  • Manages and oversees performance and talent management process and programs, individual development plans and succession planning activities.
  • Consults with and advises managers on employee relations issues such as employee disputes, terminations, EEO, harassment, disciplinary action, policy interpretation, advising management on personal and policy matters.
  • Consults with and liaises with all corporate COE’s as required (e.g. legal, comp & benefits, talent acquisition, learning & development).
  • Identifies and develops recruiting strategies to attract competent individuals, reduce hiring cost and turnover. Facilitates and manages internal job postings, opportunities for promotion, new employee orientation.
  • Develops and administers policies and procedures in a consistent manner, which comply with applicable laws and regulations. Advises and mediates regarding policy interpretation to managers and employees. Recommends revisions and/or new policies as necessary.
  • Develops and leads employee onboarding and recommends revisions to the program as necessary.
  • Prepares documentation and participates in litigation matters such as EEOC, workers’ compensation, unemployment. Attends all depositions and hearings.
  • Manages and recommends job classification, ratings, pay grades.
  • Acts as a champion of workplace continuous improvement, including employee engagement and culture initiatives.
  • Develops and administers special programs and projects to include employee awards, pay equity, health, and morale. These may include recognition and award programs, events, safety and health fairs, fundraising campaigns, and other activities.
  • Provides assistance in managing and influencing change management, HR leadership, record management, turnover management.
  • Assists with implementation, enrollment, and responding to inquiries regarding employee benefits programs.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations. Coordinates and supports audits and reviews for compliance to training, record keeping, documentation and other HR related regulations.
  • Assesses and develops training programs and acts as a facilitator in delivering effective employee development programs.
  • Manage the administration of payroll, training, HR systems and benefits programs.
  • Conforms with and abides by all laws, regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
  • Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workstation and environment at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education level desired: Bachelor’s degree level qualification
  • Experience desired: 11+ years
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field from an accredited university preferred. Master’s degree or MBA advantageous.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent HR leadership skills in the development and coaching of direct team members.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws that apply to HR.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels in the organization and with key stakeholders
  • Excellent collaboration skills across all functional areas of the business.
  • Strategic mindset, with ability to design and input into the creation of the Operating Unit and Global HR strategy.
  • Ability to prioritize and respond timely to changing requirements, and to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of employees
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Working knowledge of worker’s compensation, ADA and unemployment regulations and reporting, ISO9000, FDA and cGMP requirements.
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to occasionally travel locally and internationally.
