About the Role
  • Own the international portion of US income tax calculation and provision, with advance experience on subpart F, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, foreign tax credits and cash repatriation.
  • Provide US international tax technical support and partner with various internal stakeholders, such as tax planning team, tax quantitative analysis team and regional tax teams, to develop and implement tax strategies.
  • Proactively support US international tax planning, merger and acquisition, post-merger integration and other functions. Support tax modeling and forecasting.
What You'll Do
  • Own the international portion of US income tax calculation and provision, with advance experience on subpart F, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, foreign tax credits and cash repatriation.
  • Provide US international tax technical support and partner with various internal stakeholders, such as tax planning team, tax quantitative analysis team and regional tax teams, to develop and implement tax strategies.
  • Proactively support US international tax planning, merger and acquisition, post-merger integration and other functions. Support tax modeling and forecasting.
  • Strategize the US international tax aspects of the process improvements and automation to drive efficiency.

    Monitor US international related legislative and regulatory changes, and advise management on tax impacts to Uber’s operations.

  • Provide US international tax technical guidance to the compliance team in India and external advisors in the preparation of US international forms and the timely execution of the relevant tax filings

  • Manage and mentor an excellent team of tax professionals.
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional partners and leaders in Accounting, Finance, Legal and many other internal teams.
  • Manage the overall execution of internal controls and SOX compliance for the US income tax functions and communicate with external auditors.
Basic Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in tax accounting, transfer pricing, FP&A or other models based work

  • Excellent tax research and organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate cross-functionally with both tax and non-tax professionals
  • Experience with OneSource
  • Ability to develop and sustain relationships internally and cross-functionally
  • Experience in a high-growth, international environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.

For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.
