Required Qualifications

  • 9+ years of related technical engineering experience
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years of related technical engineering experience
    • OR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years of related technical engineering experience
    • OR Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of related technical engineering experience
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 5+yearsexperienceinindustry performing athermalengineeringfunction
  • 2+ years of experience managing larger (6-10 people) technical engineering team(s)

Other Requirements:

This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under export control regulations, potentially under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations or Export Administration Regulations, the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or other export control regulations. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or other protected status (e.g., under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)) for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of related technical engineering experience
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years of related technical engineering experience
    • OR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years of related technical engineering experience
    • OR Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of related technical engineering experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Industry experience inserverhardware development, data center infrastructure, or cloud computing
  • Experience insystems level thermal designincluding thermalsimulation
  • Experience in cross-discipline design process from chip to the racklevel
  • Experience managing ODMengineeringdeliverables
  • Knowledge of material science, design for manufacturing, and sustainable design
  • Experience with prototyping, tooling design, andhigh volume

Mechanical Engineering- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.   • Ability to understand the ODM working relationship and drive the thermal engineering team to successfully collaborate with ODM’s to deliver products that meet specification.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems, provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Drive strategy forthermaltechnologyand design strategy with keen focus on sustainable materials with respect to their mechanical properties and re-use of common parts across generations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, advancements, and best practices inthermalengineering, cloud infrastructure, and data center technologies, and propose innovative ideas to enhance our hardwareofferings
  • Embody our
