The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Manufacturing Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Update SOP/forms/procedures as requested
  • Analyze productivity and hours report
  • Complete assigned action items on tier boards in a timely manner
  • Order supplies per 3M purchasing policy as needed, and input in SAP system for release
  • Weekly audit of operations supplies (i.e: gloves, masks, blades, first aid cabinets) as needed
  • Analyze, identify, and remove root causes of equipment downtime or scrap by collaborating with Engineering and Maintenance
  • Participate in Kaizens when required
  • Backup Group Leader as needed
  • Initiate/Participate in Continuous Improvement projects
  • Assist Group Leaders, as necessary, in troubleshooting equipment
  • Assist in CAR or CFR investigations
  • Investigate and report production variances and scrap and enter into scrap reporting system
  • Confirm shop floor orders in SAP when order is complete
  • Incident investigation and follow up as needed
  • Assist Group Leaders on audit action items as needed
  • Fill gaps in production operator staffing on an as needed basis
  • Perform all other tasks and functions as assigned
  • Assist in inventory control for procurement of certain raw materials required for production in Processing Department

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)
  • 2 years of Manufacturing Operations experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Ability to create basic charts and graphs in Excel with little guidance
  • Ability to group charts or graphs by categories, assets, or Work Centers
  • Ability to create reports in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams (Engineering, Plant Engineering, Production, and other functions when required) to help resolve machine issues
