This position is ultimately responsible for day-to-day financial planning and modeling in accordance with US GAAP, regional business requirements and company’s procedures. The aim of this role is to support FPA Management in making operational and strategic decisions by providing key financial analysis and ensure that management reporting is applied accurately following the timescales required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver timely, relevant and accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial analysis/data to Finance Stakeholders and relevant Operations partners
- Accountable to ensure accuracy of revenue recognition, cost accruals and overhead charges in finalizing the P&L of each business unit on a monthly basis
- Preparation and ownership of the annual budget review and challenging the business unit on proposed targets for the year
- Accountable for owning and approving final version and delivering on time forecast submissions, backlog, hit list, budget/forecast slide deck and any necessary backup for business units
- Work with Vice Presidents, Head of Operations and Senior Stakeholders to give insight on the business trends, KPI’s and Plan, challenging and influencing the team to help drive improvements
- Focus on profit improvement and performance enhancement through the implementation of new initiatives
- Work with business partners to improve the DSO of a business unit, and provide operations and finance with executive level analysis of position, trending,
- Ensure that all Projects are reported in line with best practices and that Revenues and Margin are reported in accordance with Company Policy
- Ensure project risks and opportunities are clearly identified and escalated
- Management and engagement in ad hoc items as they arise
- Implement KPI’s which measure operational excellence alongside the delivery of financial objectives and identify and implement corrective action requirements
- Attendance and interaction in business unit management meetings and monthly PAR and provide feedback to Controller.
- Cover Holiday of other Finance Managers during absence periods
- Work with Sales partners as required to ensure financial risks are identified in bids and proposals and escalate to Controller as necessary
- Provide accurate and on time information to internal and external auditors or obtain answers to provide to a facilitator who works directly with said parties.
- Ensure risks are identified and escalated as appropriate through the organisation
- Ensure best practice is maintained and implemented where required, in line with company requirements, audit requirements, SOX and IFRS
- Be aware of and adhere to any regulatory requirements and keep abreast of any new developments
- Ensure business is knowledgeable in its compliance responsibilities in AP, AR, PA.
- Master's degree in Finance or Accounting, equivalent major or equivalent experience
- At least seven years of professional accounting experience within an international business environment (Project Accounting, Controlling or FP&A)
- Proven experience in financial management
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and to build appropriate partnerships
- Collaborative & business-focused attitude driven by strategic and critical thinking
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal) to handle all business situations in a diplomatic and sensitive manner and win client’s trust
- Advanced analytical skills, accuracy and focus on details considering "the big picture" while adapting information
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably Oracle and MS Office required.
