ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design, implement, and execute highly complex recurring or ad hoc reports, analyses, data, system-related, or operational tasks in accordance with departmental processes and controls.

2. Investigate and research unexplained variations in reports, data, systems, etc. Explain results of reports and research to department management and other stakeholders.

3. Develop and administer controls to ensure the integrity of departmental process. Evaluate and recommend improvements to departmental processes.

4. Assist with development of departmental documentation, particularly for highly complex and technical activities.

5. Serve as a consultative resource and subject matter expert on risk reporting, data, system, or related issues. Engage with stakeholders to identify business objectives and scope solution requirements.

6. Plan and manage complex projects, such as development of new or modified reporting in response to process, system, regulatory, or organizational changes.

7. Mentor less experienced teammates to build their own technical expertise.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent

2. 8+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

3. In-depth and broad knowledge within own professional discipline. Solid understanding of key business processes and strategies.

4. Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry.

5. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences. Ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective and handle interpersonal issues with tact and diplomacy.

6. Ability to exercise judgment and sophisticated skills in solving complex technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.

7. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Graduate degree in related field

2. 10+ years of related experience

3. Previous experience in banking, with specific emphasis on reporting, business intelligence, systems, technology, data, risk, compliance or related areas

4. Relevant professional or technical certifications

5. Advanced skills in data wrangling, data engineering, data science, or related areas. Experience with languages and tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, Qlik, Tableau, etc.

NOTE: RDR Senior Analyst III is intended to be an equivalent level (grade) position as RDR Manager I, hence the similar experience requirements. This position would be for very senior individual contributors who would also be capable of functioning in a manager capacity, and likely have served as managers in the past, but aren't managers currently due to reasons such as organizational changes (e.g., flattening of the org structure).
