Job Description:

As
Trade Compliance Customs Operation Specialist,you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with customs operations and maquiladora activities in EDUMEX SLP.

In this role you will be able to work with each of the Trade Compliance areas (Customs Operation, IMMEX and Regulatory) to assist in the implementation of new compliance operations processes. You will also be responsible for managing and implementing changes in Foreign Trade and Customs matters.

The impact you will make in this role

  • You will ensure compliance with customs and maquila regulations.

  • Responsible for ensuring timely shipments to the Maquila.

  • Responsible for compliance with customs standards for CTPAT and AEO certifications.

  • Responsible for monthly KPI reports.

  • Development of continuous improvement processes in customs and maquila operations.

  • Support the development of plans, risk assessments, and/or internal audits.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the followingqualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international Trade or related field, completed.

  • +7 years of experience in Trade Compliance operations and administration (customs & Maquilas).

  • Fluent English.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Knowledge of SAP (preferred).

  • Knowledge of compliance issues, promotional programs (IMMEX), and supply chain security (C-TPAT/AEO).

  • Extensive knowledge of Excel & Power BI

  • Proactive, results oriented.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, teamwork, and conflict management.
