Responsibilities
Effective use of CodeV or Zemax to design (using both local and global optimizers) to minimize residual aberrations in imaging lenses, pupil relays and zoom lenses both to evaluate the nominal design performance as well as the as-built Monte Carlo tolerance performance changes.
Construct complex sequential and non-sequential models using above lens designs as well as polarization and attenuating components with all critical optical parameters needed to produce accurate raytracing simulations of Strehl/WFE performance, coherent and incoherent PSF, focal depth of fields and pupils, multiple bounce ghost analyses or stray light analyses, as well as polarization ray tracing to quantify transmission, retardance, and diattenuation.
Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Optical Engineering, Physics or Electrical Engineering with specialization or developmental engineering work experience involving one or more of the following areas: lens design, geometric aberration analysis, physical optics simulations, metrology design and/or Fourier optics theory system performance evaluation.
Minimum Qualifications
8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
