Your key responsibilities

• Deep analytical and modelling expertise on a broad range of products (ABS, RMBS, CLOs, CMBS, Covered Bonds) and asset classes knowledge, to deliver and support a wide range of transactions, valuations, and analytics engagements across all structured product types

• Assessing and using historic and macro-economic data to support complex modelling of asset cash flows and valuations

• Development of new and innovative valuation models to provide an independent Fair Value for our client’s portfolio for different purposes

• Pricing Structured Products using a Market/ Model approach (using Intex) to provide a Fair Value of the portfolio to our client

• Securitisation Advisory and Bespoke Analytics solutions

• Writing Memorandums for our Structured Finance engagements

Skills and Attributes for Success

We require highly motivated candidates with strong numerical skills / technical knowledge, project management skills and a demonstrable interest and experience in complex securities valuation. We would welcome candidates with the following attributes:

  • Four years of experience in investment banking, rating agency, trustee, asset management company, investment fund or professional services firm, consultancy, with experience related with Structured Finance Pricing, Cash Flow Modelling, Structuring, Ratings, Valuations, Consultancy
  • Experience with modelling a broad range of Structured Finance products as ABS, RMBS, CLOs, CMBS, Covered Bonds (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations) and applying financial engineering techniques in a practical setting.
  • Good knowledge of core valuation methodologies (e.g., income approach, market approach).
  • Ability to lead the projects, including communication with clients and key stakeholders, managing and training more junior colleagues, model building, preparing deliverables in demanding timeline, and the ability to explain complex models and concepts to junior stuff
  • Communication, leadership, teamwork, continuous improvement

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Qualification in Quantitative Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering
  • Strong Excel skills, including VBA.
  • Intex knowledge would be a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Structured Finance products (ABS, RMBS, CLOs, CMBS, Covered Bonds, etc…)
  • Highly numerate with a strong technical knowledge and experience of applying analytical and modelling techniques to provide insights to business issues.
