Your key responsibilities

As an Assistant Director (Senior Manager) within our TSE team, you’ll assist in aspects of business origination, including pitches and presentations to help sell work and work in a transaction environment operating under tight M&A timeframes and demands. You’ll be familiar working in a large-scale consulting environment or industry role. As an Assistant Director your key role will be responsibility for core aspects of client delivery, ensuring the team are led and the engagement partner is supported.

You will be part of a team who:

  • Advise on the impact of merger and acquisition transactions on the finance function and across CFO priorities.
  • Understand and be able to advise on integration challenges, separation challenges, change in ownership (public to private and vice versa).
  • Have analytical and have advisory skills across the deal lifecycle – with specific focus on operational due diligence and value creation, including areas such as P&L optimisation, maturity assessments and designing models for scale and cost out.

To qualify for the role, you must:

  • Have broad experience (8+ years) of working in either: industry, with roles in some of the core areas of Finance (e.g. FP&A, Financial Control, Commercial / Operational Finance Business Partnering, CFO), and/or have transactions / finance function experience as a consultant with Big 4 or Management Consultancy firm.
  • Be a qualified accountant – ACA, CIMA, or internationally recognised equivalent finance qualification.
  • Have strong academics and interpersonal skills.
  • Have experience of being a change agent in previous roles.
