When you join us, you’ll perform civil design calculations, computer modeling, detailing, and plan set production for highway, roadway, sitework, drainage, and utilities projects with an emphasis on hydrology and hydraulics.
You’ll utilize your expertise to conduct drainage design per the requirements of each project and various clients such as Departments of Transportation, Cities / Municipalities, and private owners.
We’ll ask you to prepare projects specific drainage reports and technical memoranda as well as MS4 Post-Construction Stormwater Reports
As a key member of the team, you’ll prepare engineering, construction cost estimates and attend kick-off and design review meetings, and interact with clients as level of experience progresses. You’ll provide mentorship and guidance to more junior staff.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Georgia PE or the ability to attain a Georgia PE license within a year
• Previous professional experience in hydrology, hydraulics and drainage design
• Exercise sound judgment in the evaluation, selection and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria within the civil engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of green infrastructure, water quality, and sustainable design techniques as they relate to storm water management.
• Working knowledge of CAD Systems - MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Proficient in drainage design software – StormCAD, FlowMaster, HY-8, OpenRoads and PondPack.
• Proficient in hydrologic / hydraulic software – HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and SWMM.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
• Efficiently utilize time in executing assigned tasks accurately and on time.
• Capable of performing Civil Engineering tasks in the fields of roadway engineering and site design when needed.
