Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Customer-centricity
    • Help the firm’s business to ideate and incubate new and differentiated products and services that meet organizational objectives.
    • Work closely with business and regional innovation teams to establish and manage relationships and scout for new business challenges/ideas to be solved/incubated.
    • Uncover customer needs and challenges, identify quality requirements, and identify and scope business requirements and priorities in relation to new or existing products or services.
    • Have a sound knowledge of customers, the markets in which they operate and the products used in that market.
  • Lead, manage and deliver innovation initiatives
    • Sustain & optimize a self-directed team model, fostering a culture of innovation, & creativity and deliver high performance outcomes
    • Lead the team in the ideation and incubation journey of new product ideas by enabling Design Workshops and associated ideation sessions with business stakeholders.
    • Work with the Interaction Designers to come up with early-stage conceptual sketches of the idea and gather early feedback from business stakeholders to lead it to a stage of maturity.
    • Lead and manage a team of experimental engineers and Data/AI engineers to evolve the technical proof of concept of the idea to prove the desirability, viability and technology feasibility of it.
    • Assess trends and technologies for relevance and viability in the context of the initiative
    • Actively seek and review suggestions for maturing the idea through every stage of innovation process through team mediated retrospection
    • Work closely together with Solution Architecture to ensure that Technology Innovation is supported by the right architectures and standards.
    • Ensure adherence to the innovation process and protocols through the lifecycle.
    • Advance concepts with sound desirability, feasibility and viability and seamlessly hand off to Engineering and TO organizations, thereby ensuring a hassle-free adoption.
    • Manage the product roadmap through the conceptualization phases of ideation and incubation
    • Support the relevant stakeholders in Business Case development with inputs influenced by the incubation outcomes.
  • Other functions
    • Be an advocate of technology innovation through technology showcases and demonstrations of assets through powerful story telling - to help the audience connect with the business problem statements and to understand how it adds value to the firm.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Demonstrate a strong belief in design-thinking and agile innovation, with an entrepreneurial and ‘can do’ mind-set
  • Strong expertise in having built/Managed AI/Gen AI products or solutions
  • Possess sound knowledge of the evolving Technology landscape
  • Continually strive to strengthen/acquire new knowledge and capabilities to keep up with the evolving changes
  • Sound knowledge about EY’s line of business and service offerings
  • Identify opportunities in a fast-changing market with the ability to drive the ideas through innovation funnel
  • Ability to lead and engage very diverse and distributed groups of stakeholders and team members - cultures, time zones, and navigating complex organization structures
  • Ability to build relationships in a remote setting and willingness to travel to meet with Technology and Business leaders to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Understand the intricacies of working with large global clients
  • Outstanding communication and story-telling skills, both oral and written paired with the ability to tailor the message to global audiences
  • Decision-making ability, balancing what is right with what is realistic
  • Flexibility to adapt to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid changes
  • Ability to handle ambiguity, make decisions with imperfect information, and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment
  • Possess a high energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and ability to work well under pressure
  • Experience at large scale enterprises with exposure to senior leaders and C-level management, would be advantageous
  • At least 5+ years of experience in product management
