Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the Pharm Ops manufacturing operations at the site and member of the Site Leadership Team.
- Accountable for optimal resource deployment and upskilling across the IPT to ensure on time manufacturing and release of the Drug Product Commercialization and Supply batches.
- Accountable for financial stewardship of the annual OPEx and CAPEx budgets.
- Accountable for developing, empowering, and inspiring their team through talent mgmt. and development processes coupled with effective and timely communication processes so that all members of the IPT are informed.
- Accountable for the strategic development of first line leaders to ensure these leaders are equipped with the right support, tools and competencies in order to effectively leader their team and drive the value stream.
- Accountable for embedding the MPS (lean thinking) mindsets and behaviours with their IPT
- Accountable for finite scheduling of production activities, schedule adherence as well as downtime tracking in order to drive problem solving in order to avoid repeated downtime for same issue
- Accountable for the proactive supply risk assessment through use of site and enterprise risk assessment methodologies for all aspects of supply including equipment reliability/obsolescence.
- Partner with Site engineering and Technical Functions to ensure the appropriate prioritization of functional support is provided in alignment with overall site priorities.

- Hands on coaching of the MPS & Strategy Realization Integrated toolkit: Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques, Change Execution Management, Level Load planning at all value stream nodes with rhythm wheels, Standardized work, Scientific problem solving (PDCA,) Inclusion, Value stream mapping, BCCM, Visual factory.
- Utilize MPS Lean Integrated toolkit (Operating System, Management System, Mindsets and Behaviors,) to analyze and improve business processes enabling behavioral change and sustained business results.
Technical Competencies :
- Operational knowledge of typical oral solid dose drug product processing unit operations including Formulation, Roller Compaction, Compression, and Coating
- Ensures Safety and Quality policies and guidelines are followed by all colleagues within IPT.
- Drive the utilization of MES and other production systems within the IPT

- Demonstrated ability to lead both direct and indirect reports fostering effective collaboration and achieving business objectives.

Education Minimum Requirements:
- Masters Degree in a Science, Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharma industry including manufacturing operations experience
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development
- Demonstrated experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodology
- Demonstrated experience in in talent development
