Responsibilities:
  • Lead, design, and oversee the execution of a comprehensive technology integration and workflow design strategy for the purpose of enhancing eDiscovery processes, data governance, and records management operations.
  • Establish framework for program functions and protocols that positively assist, identify, and implement suitable models for eDRMO team process and applications, optimizing them for performance and accuracy.
  • Develop and execute sound data management procedures and controls, ensuring sustainable compliance with retention and hold requirements that also considers future technology implementation impact.
  • Work closely with team members and internal clients to understand needs and challenges, providing a custom solution that delivers on needs and challenges.
  • Consult, advise, and work with cross-functional teams to establish and confirm that technology initiatives comply with legal and regulatory requirements, implementing robust security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Provide mentorship, comradery, and guidance to foster a culture of innovation and team collaboration.
  • Map and bridge various data systems and technology tools into a centralized command center for review, audit, analytics, reporting, and records keeping ensuring eDRMO team is meeting set milestones and maintaining necessary records.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements, automation, and process improvement, minimizing risk, and increasing team productivity.
  • Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, adhering to policy, applying ethical judgement, and driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • 10-15 years of experience, with prior experience in eDiscovery and Legal Operations at a Financial Institution.
  • Thorough knowledge of the eDiscovery process, evolving regulatory standards, industry trends, and landscape of legal support tools and technologies that relate to data reduction and management.
  • Proven ability to independently handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with professionalism.
  • Superior communications skills, exception organization skills, keen analytical abilities, and strong ethical standards.
  • Candidate must understand the sense of urgency as it relates to Litigation and Regulatory Litigation matters and demonstrate their ability to effectively provide support and guidance.
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively, issues-spot effectively, and yet move practically to continue the momentum/forward motion of a project.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with people at all organization levels and functions. Excellent project management skills, presenting and communicating to senior management.
  • Proven leadership experience in implementing technology solutions within large-scale environments.
  • Expertise in Electronic Discovery, WORM systems, data remediation, and cybersecurity. Familiarity with relevant archive systems such as Bloomberg Vault, SMARSH Enterprise Safe, ZL Vault, and M365 Purview is a bonus.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a track record of reducing costs and improving operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrates confidence and agility in challenging times, creating an environment where individuals hold themselves to the highest ethical standards.
  • Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degreepreferred
