We are currently seeking a Advanced SystemsEngineer to join our emerging Centre of Excellence for development offlight control actuation systems (Electromechanical) for broad portfolio ofaircrafts. These Actuation systems comprise electromechanical Actuators (linearand rotary) and high integrity controllers. In general, Systems Engineeringconcentrates on the precise specification of system architecture andperformance to satisfy customer requirements. The role of the Systems Engineerencompasses the complete product design and development life cycle includingSystem concept development, detailed requirements management, design, build,qualification, certification support and in-service support. SystemsEngineering role is also needed at the subsystem and component leveldevelopment and design to assure the functionality and performance of thesystem to the defined requirements. We are looking for motivated individualsthat are ready to take up this challenge to start with component and systemlevel system engineering and gradually build up on experience to become valuedprofessionals on Actuation system level solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for determining and deriving the technical requirements from the customer ensuring the compliance of the system and its products to the customer requirement documentation
  • Coordinating with other engineering development groups (Electrical, Hardware, Mechanical, Software, Test Services, Safety, etc.) involved to make sure the technical activities on project are in accordance with technical requirements and planning documentation
  • Liaise with Program Management, Design, Chief Engineers, Development Engineers, Manufacturing and Customers as and when necessary
  • Provide general technical leadership on component level during development life cycle
  • Provide support to Lead Systems Engineer during system level requirements allocation, validation, and other requirement management activities
  • Responsible for system/component level architectural decisions, defining, supervising and evaluation trade studies
  • Justifying decisions and generating the appropriate supporting documentation to submit to the customer
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to less experienced colleagues

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Master’s degree in relevant technical field – Aerospace, Mechanical or Systems Engineering
  • At least 5 years industry experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as system engineer of aerospace product development (preferably actuation systems or product of similar complexity)
  • Experience in the capturing and definition and subsequent detailing of requirements
  • Experience with definition and validation and verification of technical requirements

  • Able to create technical documentation, such as System Description, System & Component Qualification Test Plans and Procedures, System & Component Qualification Test Reports etc.
  • Awareness of aerospace standards and guidelines (DO-160, ARP-4754, ARP4761, etc.)
  • The use of suitable requirement’s capture software would be useful (DOORS)
  • Strong technical background in relevant fields – Engineering Mechanics Control Systems
  • Strong background and experience of engineering practices
