Job responsibilities
- Prepare and execute trade settlement in a timely manner for various loan businesses with currency deadlines
- Draft complex pricing for Distressed loan settlements which may include PIK or other trades flat interest treatments, as well as Revolver facilities denominated in multiple currencies, and coordinate with clients as needed regarding any pricing inquiries
- Perform basic accounting functions which require knowledge of accounts payable and receivable as well as bank reconciliation functions
- Maintain and investigate complex trade related exceptions, such as Trades Flat interest or other fee disbursements, as well as serve as a SME for others on the team
- Review of all settlement documentation in accordance with the Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA) and Loan Market Association (LMA) market standard terms and conditions
- Communicate frequently with front office, documentation, accounting and control teams as well as external counterparties
- Monitor general ledger activity in regards to payments associated with trade settlement
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with loan-based software (LoanIQ, ClearPar)
- Knowledge of the trade lifecycle and/or experience supporting a trading business or loan products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize and pivot to reprioritize as needed
- Detail-oriented and control oriented
- Strong problem-solving, decision making, and analytical skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Business, relevant Syndicated Loan Operations experience preferred with knowledge of LSTA and LMA Standard Terms and Conditions
Work schedule
- This hybrid role requires going into the office three days a week with two days' flexibility to work from home, subject to change
