What You Need to Know About the Role:
The Integration Engineer is a key member of the Global Markets Shopping team who provides guidance, consultation, and best practices during the integration phase of Shopping campaign launches. We are seeking a dynamic individual with fast innovative thinking skills, exceptional technical skills, and a solid business acumen. As the Integration Engineer, we will look for you to use your technology and business intelligence to design, build and implement Shopping solutions for internal stakeholders and large enterprise merchants. The role requires internal cross team participation with key internal teams including Marketing, Sales, Product, Engineering, Risk, etc. to address specific integration requirements or new product features.This is a hybrid role, with up to three days per week in a local office expected.

Your Way to Impact

  • You will serve as the technical point of contact for Shopping campaign engagements. Your work ensures that solutions are technically feasible, products will meet the business needs of our customers, campaigns are built and fully tested, and stakeholders are kept up-to-date on all aspects of the implementation.
  • You will partner closely with Campaign Stakeholders, engaging with multiple teams across PayPal to ensure these engagements maximize value for PayPal and our customers.

Your Day-to-Day

In your day-to-day role, you will:

  • Interact directly with internal Shopping stakeholders and external merchants to recognize and articulate business requirements and how best to implement our PayPal solutions while adhering to PayPal guidelines and company policies.
  • Act as main technical point of contact for all Shoppingimplementation-relatedactivities throughout the integration effort. Build Shopping campaigns, test end-to-end flows, use dashboards and database queries to validate results, communicate with stakeholders, launch campaigns, and monitor post-live performance.
  • Proactively manage your integration workload, leveraging standard company-wide tools including Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, Oracle, BigQuery, DropZone, and others. Share best practices and contribute to team knowledge bases.
  • Be the "Voice of the Customer" and relay constructive feedback to Product Managers, Engineering, Risk, and other internal groups on ease of use and new functionality. Work with internal teams on any required feature enhancements or to address any solution gaps.
  • Perform data analysis to report on campaign effectiveness and incrementality. Communicate key insights and metrics to internal and external Stakeholders
  • Ensure campaigns are implemented with optimal integration strategies, techniques and user experience best practices
  • Occasionally travel for on-site customer visits and PayPal offices (approximately 10% may be expected).

What Do You Need to Bring

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Integration Engineer, Software Developer, Pre-Sales Consultant, Solutions Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Marketing Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar position.
  • BS/BA or foreign equivalent in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Marketing Technology & Analytics, Engineering, or similar is preferred.
  • Proficient in major programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, SQL).
  • Working knowledge of SQL, BI tools, Tableau, Looker, relational databases, API & web technologies (REST, GraphQL)
  • Exceptional communication skills, in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to successfully interact and dynamically adapt to communication styles with all levels of client organizations including C-level executives, middle management, finance and operations, and technical/IT staff.
  • Ability to translate requirements into detailed design and solution documents.
  • Ability to quickly assess and troubleshoot most integration issues
  • Effective time management skills to work with multiple external customers concurrently.
  • Self-learner for most of the topics on new products with proficiently designed solutions and deliver integrations with both off the shelf and customized products.
  • Strong presentation skills (presenting to business units and technical teams)
  • Less than 10% domestic travel.
  • 2+ years of experience with Payments (Credit Card, Banking, Online, Offline) preferred. Comprehensive knowledge is highly valued in commerce systems, payments gateways and payment processors.
  • Broad knowledge of technical concepts and payment processing as it relates to company products and integration.
