Description
Responsibilities include:- Driving bug fixes and power optimizations to ensure that all new Mac products meet their battery life and power targets- Collecting, analyzing, and presenting power data on all in-development Mac platforms- Identifying, isolating, and root causing problem areas using debugging and data analysis skills - Continuously improving test coverage, methodology, and efficiency
Key Qualifications
  • Understanding of computer architecture, operating system concepts, EE fundamentals, and concepts of power consumption and power management
  • Ability to dive deep technically, learn new technologies, and understand the small technical nuances of a system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting data to cross-functional teams and/or management
  • Experience in test planning, validation, uncovering issues, and driving issues to resolution with engineering teams
  • Coding and scripting experience to support basic automation and tool development (Python and shell preferred)
Education & Experience
BSEE/CS or equivalent experience preferred
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $114,400 and $199,500 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
