Responsibilities
- Assist in executing functional and regression tests based on provided test cases and requirements.
- Review business and functional requirements with guidance to understand testing needs.
- Create test cases that will validate business and functional requirements.
- Support the QA team in maintaining and updating manual test cases.
- Participate in test execution across different environments and document results clearly.
- Learn to test applications in multi-tiered architecture with support from senior team members.
- Collaborate with developers and QA leads to understand the software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes.
- Help identify and report bugs and assist in verifying fixes.
- Support basic troubleshooting of configuration issues under supervision.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or business-related field.
- Some experience or coursework in software testing, preferably with web-based applications or experience in financial markets or commodities trading.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA processes.
- Familiarity with writing and executing test cases.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn from feedback.
- Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Exposure to testing application such as ALM, Jira or similar tool set is a plus.
- Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium) or programming/scripting is a bonus, but not required.
- Eagerness to grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
