Senior Technical Writer- Bangalore, India

You will report to our Manager, Documentation.

As a Senior Technical Writer, you will create product documentation, videos, and tutorials. You will work with software engineers, UX designers, product managers, and other doc team members to create great user-facing content.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

1. Write technical content that describes product functionality
2. Compile and test online help
3. Create project plans, maintain schedules for specific projects, and communicate documentation status to documentation manager or lead
4. Develop tutorials to improve first user experience
5. Work with partners to deliver meaningful error messages, useful UI strings, and develop clear terminology
6. Contribute how-to articles, knowledge base articles, videos, walkthroughs, and other useful content
7. Contribute to documentation team processes
8. Edit own content for completeness, style, and accuracy to ensure it reflects Informatica's commitment to quality
9. Collaborate on projects with other technical writers

Role Essentials

1. BA/MA/BS or equivalent (engineering, technical communications, humanities, social sciences)
2. 5+ years of relevant professional experience
3. Excellent leadership and project management skills
4. Able to quickly learn technical information
5. Able to meet deadlines and help others meet them
6. Able to multitask, prioritize, and follow schedules
7. Able to follow documentation processes and style
8. Able to understand customer requirements and incorporate them into the documentation
9. Attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence, and owns and acts on quality problems

What We'd Like to See

1. Knowledge of data management, big data, relational and/or No SQL database, and cloud concepts.
2. Experience with DITA, Oxygen XML, content management systems, source control systems, Jira, and Confluence.
3. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, video software, e-learning software, and/or Pendo.
