Our DevOps Engineer will manage our software production, ensuring stability, scalability, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage our DTAP environments including troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed
- Continuously improve and evolve our infrastructure and tools to meet the changing needs of our products and teams
- CI/CD Ownership: Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable deployment cycles across multiple services and environments.
- Plan and implement tools to help our company's efficiency and productivity using data-driven decision making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including engineering, research, and operations) to identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvements.
- Carry tasks end-to-end, from design to deployment, and take full ownership
- Security & Compliance: Ensure infrastructure and processes adhere to best practices for security, monitoring, and compliance.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Lead by example, mentor team members, and foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Drive observability initiatives by defining and implementing logging, metrics, and tracing strategies to improve incident response and system understanding.
Must-Have Experience
- Experience in DevOps engineering for at least 3 years
- 2+ years of experience leading DevOps teams, with proven ability to guide, mentor, and grow engineers.
- Proven Kubernetes (K8s) expertise: deploying, managing, and scaling workloads in production environments.
- Experience in writing and maintaining CI/CD solutions (ArgoCD & Jenkins are an advantage).
- Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with IaC such as Terraform, Pulumi, etc.
- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration tools – Kubernetes, Docker, Helm.
- Strong focus on system observability – experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools like Prometheus, Grafana
Leadership & Collaboration
- Demonstrated success leading DevOps teams for 2+ years, including setting technical direction, hiring, mentoring, and promoting engineering best practices.
- Ability to work closely with R&D teams, architects, and security engineers to align infrastructure with product goals.
- Strong communication skills and bias toward automation and simplification.
Additional Nice-to-Haves
- Prior experience as a software developer (especially backend) is a plus.
- Experience with security best practices and compliance (e.g. SOC2).
- Familiarity with service mesh, GitOps workflows, and zero-downtime deployments.
- Understanding of cost optimization practices in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of event-driven systems and message brokers (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ).
