As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes. You’ll leverage your expertise to analyze existing systems, develop process improvements, and implement innovative solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain the highest quality standards. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements and ensure that our production processes meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Design & Optimization: Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput. Identify areas for improvement and implement process changes that enhance overall performance.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or quality issues. Develop and implement corrective actions and process improvements to resolve problems quickly.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to streamline production processes and eliminate waste.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and R&D teams to ensure smooth integration of new processes and the successful execution of improvement initiatives.
  • Process Documentation & Standardization: Document process changes, improvements, and best practices. Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
  • Cost Control & Efficiency: Analyze process costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses while maintaining or improving product quality and delivery timelines.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices. Ensure the team is aligned with process changes and quality standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure that processes meet quality specifications, industry regulations, and customer requirements. Collaborate with the quality team to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Project Management: Lead or support process-related projects, including the design and implementation of new systems or equipment. Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in process engineering, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment. Experience in process optimization, Lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

Desired Characteristics

  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of process engineering principles, systems, and technologies.
  • Proficiency with process modeling and simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems, ERP, and quality management systems (e.g., SAP, MES).
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex systems, identify inefficiencies, and implement practical solutions to improve processes.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present data-driven insights to leadership.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in process documentation and analysis.
