Senior Vice President of Vertical and Enterprise Client Management
The SVP, Vertical and Enterprise Client Management will work across Connected Commerce, CRS, USPB as well as with partners in Citi’s Commerce Bank, Corporate Bank and Services Organization to articulate a strong value proposition and overall branding strategy and be the voice of the merchant partner to influence the strategic product and program roadmaps. This individual will lead the creation and ongoing management of a team to support these strategic responsibilities and imperatives.
This individual will partner with the CRS senior leadership in multiple forums across USPB to ensure the Citi Pay growth strategy is aligned with and supports both current and future merchant partner objectives, enables broader distribution opportunities, drives product and vertical expansion while delivering the right outcomes for CRS, Citi and our merchant partners resulting in market growth and revenue contribution.
Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of clients to drive sales, receivables, revenue growth, credit penetration and renewals.
Hold direct accountability for the P&L associated with your vertical and key clients
Develop and execute short and long-term product/portfolio strategies for a large partner portfolio to ensure delivery of the financial plan.
Drive cross functional teams to execute against key portfolio strategies, achieving profitability targets as well as driving Portfolio and Program Management activities.
Develop and gain alignment on vertical and key client plans and forecasting of key portfolio metrics across the your product set.
Drive alignment of strategy across key Citi and Partner stakeholders.
Serve as day-to-day Partner Liaison regarding product strategy development.
Work closely with Decision Management, Marketing, Risk and Finance to assess program effectiveness and drive modifications to existing programs.
Work with functional team and partner to develop financial and strategic business cases for new initiatives, enhancements and modifications to existing products.
Drive product and digital innovation of new/improved ways to deliver value, enhance performance, service customers and improve processes.
Develop presentations for all levels of the organization and partner articulating the strategic plan, benefits and contingency plans.
Partner with portfolio Chief Marketing Officer to design and implement vertical and key client initiatives to drive credit penetration and key conversion metrics.
Analyze market trends through primary and secondary research.
Monitor processes and controls to ensure contractual compliance commitment.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
10+ years of B2B2C financial product management
Deep subject matter experience with Alternate Payment Method (APM) integration and management strategies – has operated in a APM provider in a vertical and client relationship role
Has successfully managed large-scale enterprise and mid-tier relationships with a demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding stated credit penetration, sales and revenue targets
Demonstrated track record going-to-market via distributor strategies with a demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding sales/revenue and credit penetration targets for an APM via distributors
Contract management and negotiation skills with a track record of having secured/renewed/extended large-scale enterprise client relationships
P&L ownership with an ability to articulate successful management of a portfolio of clients to deliver sale, receivables, revenue and EBT targets
Requires relationship skills, strategic thought Leadership, and effectivecommunication/presentationabilities. Significant Organizational and Project Management - requires solid track record in managing complex business & partner needs. Exceptional Relationship skills.
Communication/presentation& influence management skills; must have ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and across all functional areas within a highly matrixed environment. Demonstrated thought leadership and strategic agility. Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented, intense environment.
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
