Subject Matter Expertise
Serve as the subject matter expert on authentication training for the Handbags & Accessories or Apparel categories.
Ensure training content reflects current authentication methodologies, brand updates, and counterfeit trends.
Support continuous education for staff through workshops, refresher courses, and global knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Training Development & Delivery
Design, implement, and continuously refine authentication training programs tailored to handbags, accessories, and apparel categories.
Partner with the Instructional Design team to develop detailed training materials, including e-learning modules, visual reference guides, hands-on exercises, and assessments.
Partner with authentication experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content.
Team Leadership & Coaching
Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of global Authentication Trainers.
Set clear performance goals, provide regular coaching and feedback, and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
Communicate professionally with employees, leadership and business partners.
Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are followed and champion eBay DNA principles.
Operational Support
Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Operations, and Product teams to align training content with evolving tools and standards.

Tracking & Reporting
Manage training calendars, onboarding pipelines, and scheduling across multiple sites or time zones.

Additional Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Design, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
6+ years of experience in authentication or brand quality roles, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or training capacity.
Deep category knowledge of luxury and designer brands (e.g., Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Hermès, Prada, etc.).
