The VMware Administrator Role is an essential element within the tech industry. As a VMware Administrator, you must be able to troubleshoot problems with the VMware software while ensuring all user requests are met in a timely fashion. Additionally, you need to have an advanced understanding of server infrastructure and how servers interact within the system. In this role, you would be responsible for the installation and configuration of virtualization solutions for our clients. You must determine the best architecture for system scalability and performance, install and set up databases, migrate data and networks, and monitor system performance. It is also your job to ensure that security protocols are followed and backups are created. Aside from the technical aspects of the role, you would also be an advocate of our products. You need to be up to speed with the company's current offerings, and be available to answer customer queries, ensure they are satisfied with our products, and provide exceptional customer service. You must have an in-depth understanding of VMware products and technologies, such as vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, etc. You must be able to collaborate with other teams, organizations, and customers to troubleshoot any problems.
