What you’ll achieve

In this position as, you will drive the strategic user experience vision for client products. In this senior role, you will focus on front-end concept development, cross-portfolio design strategy, and long-term innovation initiatives across hardware and software ecosystems. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, champion advanced research practices, and represent Dell’s UX direction at the executive level to influence future product roadmaps and investment.


You will:

  • Define and lead the strategic UX vision for Dell’s next generation of client products
  • Drive front-end concept incubation: identifying, prototyping, and validating opportunities before formal development
  • Establish and scale design frameworks, standards, and methodologies that guide cross-functional teams globally
  • Partner with product, engineering, and business leaders to shape portfolio strategy and align experience goals with business outcomes; Present design strategies and concept directions to executive leadership to guide priorities and investment
  • Champion advanced Human Factors and behavioral research approaches to ensure strategic insights inform concept and portfolio planning
Essential Requirements
  • 12+ years of experience in a consumer product UX role, with a track record of leadership on large-scale programs or portfolios
  • Proven expertise in front-end innovation, strategic design direction, and concept incubation for consumer-facing hardware/software ecosystems
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strategic impact on both shipped products and long-term design roadmaps
  • Proficiency with qualitative and quantitative research methods, prototyping tools, and design frameworks
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, including the ability to influence executive-level decisions through design strategies and research insights

Job Summary

​​As a Senior UI Software Engineer on this team, you will contribute to the entire lifecycle of our user experiences — from front-end architecture and implementation to testing, performance, accessibility, and release. You will evolve our design system and reusable component library, build interactive dashboards and data visualizations, and integrate with APIs that convert raw signals into trustworthy intelligence across Cortex, collaborating closely with design and backend partners to deliver intuitive, high-quality experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build features that delight customers and solve their problems
  • Work in a dynamic, highly energized team that delivers feature-rich applications
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, UX, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure accurate product delivery
  • Take part in architecture strategy sessions—work with your colleagues to design solutions that accommodate the requirements of the various modules across Cortex
  • Collaborate with your team to solve problems, reduce technical debt, and evolve development practices
  • Drive technical best practices and evangelize new technologies within the engineering organization
  • Collaborate with other engineers and ensure that your team delivers high-quality output
  • Take ownership of projects, drive them to completion, and support them in production

Preferred Qualifications

  • We're looking for a seasoned engineer with: 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of designing, developing, deploying, and supporting complex, scalable software systems
  • Proficiency in Angular or React (preferably Angular)
  • Delivered high-quality UI features using TypeScript, HTML, and CSS with the Angular ecosystem (Angular CLI, RxJS, Angular Material; NgRx or similar state management)
  • Experience in building well-tested Angular code (unit/integration/e2e) using Jasmine/Karma, Jest, and Cypress/Playwright
  • Experience with version control software (Git)
  • Experience with REST APIs and asynchronous operations in Angular (HttpClient, Observables) or React (effects, fetch)
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Proven experience driving design and implementation of technical solutions in the face of ambiguity—we will ask you about this
  • Ability to lead across research, design, prototyping, and implementation phases
  • Proven technical team leadership and interest in mentoring other engineers in order to contribute to the technical growth of the team
  • Nice To Haves:
  • Experience in Threat Intelligence.
  • Experience in building Cybersecurity products.

Salary Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $147000/YR - $237500/YR.   • Design, Build, Operate and Secure Cloud-Native Microservice Applications at Global Scale.

  • Own End-to-End Service Delivery in Production - Availability, Performance, Scalability, Security.

  • Partner with Software & ML Engineers to design and build new capabilities and features.

  • Banish toil through automation - from shell scripting to cluster orchestration to dynamic CI pipelines.

  • Gain a deep understanding of how we deliver AI Security; you'll be able troubleshoot end-to-end a production issue from an inbound HTTP request, through the network, webserver, model inferencing, database, down to the hardware layer.

Your Experience

  • You must be an expert in all things Kubernetes; you have a deep understanding of Kubernetes concepts, experience with building and operating production applications in multi-cluster environments, writing Helm charts from scratch and interacting with the Kubernetes API.

  • You must be an expert in either GCP or AWS, with at least 5 years of experience building and operating production cloud infrastructure at scale.

  • You must have significant Software Engineering / Development experience building applications in Go and/or Python.

  • You should have demonstrated experience in network operations, such as cloud networking, network security, and/or distributed computing systems.

  • You should have demonstrated experience in Linux administration, particularly in the context of cloud-native distributed systems, container runtimes, or Linux server fleets.

  • You should have experience with Relational Databases and SQL; you know how to read, write and refactor SQL queries, identify opportunities for and design secondary indexes, manage database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and perform backup/restore operations.

  • You should have experience designing, building and maintaining CI and/or GitOps pipelines for complex multi-application/multi-environment projects.

  • You should have experience in building application observability through Prometheus / OpenTelemetry metrics, Structured Logging or Distributed Tracing systems.

  • You may have practical experience in Information Security, such as Cloud / Application / Network Security and are familiar with compliance programs such as SOC2, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI-DSS, FedRAMP or control frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST 800-53, OWASP or others.

  • You may have experience with running LLM / Machine Learning Inferencing Servers at scale across heterogeneous multi-GPU cloud environments.

Compensation Disclosure
