The Cloud Architect role will require the successful candidate to work in partnership with IT teams to develop cutting-edge cloud architecture solutions. These solutions must meet customer requirements with regard to scalability, time-to-market and cost effectiveness. The Cloud Architect will need to be able to design, build and implement cloud-based solutions for customers as well as other IT Team members. They will need to keep up-to-date on new tools and technologies and be able to build custom configurations that will optimize cost efficiency and performance. The successful candidate will also need to be able to lead by example, aid in developing project plans and roadmaps, collaborate with other teams, and provide technical support where needed. Attention to detail, an understanding of security and privacy, deploying tactical and strategic cloud computing initiatives, and the ability to create a set of security controls are also a must. Extensive experience with cloud orchestration and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Azure, and AWS, as well as strong programming knowledge and scripting skills are highly desired.
