Everything from turning high-level visions into tangible, intelligent prototypes that push the boundaries of what’s possible in e-commerce.
Vision Partner to the CEO
Work directly with the CEO to define and evolve eBay’s AI-forward product vision through whiteboard thinking, rapid prototyping, and technical demos.
Act as a real-time collaborator and technical translator—taking loosely defined, speculative, or exploratory ideas and giving them shape and substance.
Analyze continuously the frontier of emerging AI technologies (agents, multimodal models, orchestration layers, etc.) for strategic relevance to eBay’s mission.
Rapid Prototyping & Applied AI Exploration
Build lightweight proof-of-concept tools, intelligent experiences, and interactive mockups that communicate ideas clearly and compellingly.
Translate experiments into influential narratives that inspire internal teams and inform roadmap strategy.
Cross-Team Advocacy & Strategic Leadership
Work across product, platform, and design teams to socialize future-facing ideas and technical possibilities.
Highlight key trends, tooling evolutions, and industry leanings to senior leadership.
Contribute to internal thought leadership and frameworks for how eBay approaches innovation in an AI-first world.
What you will bring:
A strong background (7+ years of experience) in engineering, technical product development, prototyping, or innovation roles—preferably in high-velocity environments or startups.
Demonstrated aptitude in navigating emerging technologies : including LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, orchestration frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel), and generative UI platforms.
Proven ability to prototype rapidly across a range of mediums—code, design tools, visual mockups, interactive demos.
Experience working with or building MCP-compatible systems or plugins (e.g., Figma Dev Mode, VS Code extensions, API toolchains).
Comfort working with modern AI developer tools such as Cursor, Copilot, v0.dev, Claude, or OpenAI APIs.
Comfort navigating ambiguity and acting with high autonomy—able to move fluidly between strategic thinking and technical execution.
Strong communication and storytelling skills—capable of framing technical ideas to executive stakeholders with clarity.
Passion for working on transformative products and a strong point of view on how AI can reimagine commerce and human-computer interaction.
