Join our Enterprise Support Services team and you’ll be an integral part of our business enablement function that keeps our organization running strong. As an Executive Support Coordinator Manager, Supervising Associate, you’ll work across teams to provide the supervision, knowledge, resources and tools that help EY deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace and support EY growth and profitability.

You’ll implement administrative strategic plans as well as maintain performance measurements for a customer base of 650-1,500 people. You’ll also monitor financial and operational performance in accordance with established administrative services parameters. Your key responsibilities

  • Manages, counsels and negotiates assignments for approximately 20-30 Executive Support Coordinators based on client need and resources

  • Sets up full project plans including; objectives, milestones, priorities, team, calendar and nature of deliverables
  • Demonstrates proactive business development by initiating discussions with existing internal customers on possible additional work and satisfaction with current support

Most of our projects are built in Java but you will also be exposed to different technologies including web (Angular, React, etc), other languages (.NET, python, etc), web/microservices and databases. A key part of innovation is using the right tool for the job so you’ll always have opportunity to learn and leverage new technology as it comes out such as machine learning, natural language processing (NLP) and data analytics. Our clients look to us to solve their problems not just deploy software they could do themselves so this means you’ll be expected to build custom frameworks, tools and utilities such as custom automation drivers, JSON and XML parsers, integrations between tools and extend existing frameworks to provide new, cutting edge technologies.

Most of our work is specifically aimed at accelerating and enhancing software testing. Manual testing can be inefficient and many of today’s complex systems and technologies can’t be tested manually. Background Investigations Coordinator, Administrative Advanced

As a Background Investigations Coordinator, you’ll perform various administrative and project related tasks of a responsible nature to support the General Counsel’s Office (GCO) Investigations Group and other key management personnel. This position handles differing situations, problems, and deviations in the work of the department according to general instructions, priorities, policies, and team goals. The role coordinates the activities associated with background investigations in compliance with the requirements of EY clients.

Your key responsibilities

  • Understand the firm’s business and organization structure to function as a subject matter resource in department operations and as a technical resource for others; understand the dependencies that exist with other departments.
  • Respond to standard customer needs and inquiries by analyzing the activity and performing necessary and appropriate actions to reach resolution.

  • Utilize key internal contacts and knowledge repositories to answer questions and resolve issues.

  • Seek out opportunities to continually refine and streamline procedures improving quality of service delivery.
  • This position operates subject to the directions provided by those they support, however, uses experience and knowledge to guide day-to-day activities and confirms actions on a regular basis with those the position supports.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities with limited supervision in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Coordinates with vendors and engagement teams to manage the client required background investigation (BI) process in obtaining the information needed and following through open items.
  • Assists in the extensive client contract review process to guide and help negotiate client background requirements for our employees.
  • Establishes and maintains a systematic method for tracking client BI requirements for EY employees working on client engagements.
  • Assists with coordination of large highly confidential time-sensitive projects, including promotional candidate background investigation programs (creating correspondence, printing material, organizing files, and tracking project status).
  • Manage annual audits of the BI process conducted by clients.
  • Manages vendor invoicing procedures.
  • Assists with coordination of the BI process for prospective client, client continuance, and EY-sponsored entrepreneurial programs.
  • Manages tasks and activities in a timely manner and is responsible for specific outcomes.
  • Assists in validating full compliance and appropriate documentation of materials.
  • Monitors team members' email and caseload when absent.
  • Identifies and leverages relationships with key internal and external clients and is recognized as a business partner/resource.

  • 5 to 7 years of related experience

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $45,300 to $82,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $54,300 to $93,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

The Physiochemical Testing group strives to deliver creative medicines to patients through performance fundamental chemical, physical and structural testing within a GxP-compliant QC laboratory to support preclinical and clinical production as well as commercial launch. Primary responsibilities center on being able to develop, implement and manage departmental strategies for physiochemical testing with respect to product in-process, release and stability testing, raw materials testing, contract lab testing, and regulatory submissions. The incumbent may also participate in/provide oversight of activities related to the management of CGMP analytical method lifecycle (e.g. management of reference standard, assay control, critical reagents and materials, product specification and sampling plan processes). The incumbent should possess a practical understanding of bio-pharmaceutical drug development and GxP requirements as knowledge of local, regional and global regulatory compliance (ICH, GMP, EPA, OSHA, DEA, etc.) are integral responsibilities of this position.

How you’ll spend your day

Overseeing QC laboratory operations by managing a team of professionals and junior managers who execute physiochemical CGMP testing.
Establishing and maintaining strategies for method and/or process implementation, continuous improvement initiatives, and method transfer and validation processes.
Developing strategies and approaches for special studies, as applicable.
Ensuring compliance with applicable ICH, GxP and safety regulations as an individual contributor as well as an educator and manager of junior staff. Executional tasks include but are not limited to:
• Supporting general GxP and data integrity compliance in both routine and non-routine work activities for both internal and external contract lab testing. This includes efforts as an individual contributor that may include but are not limited to the review and approval of data in raw and reported forms as well as training staff in compliance or technical principles
• Providing oversight and/or support of QC lab investigations, audits, inspections, and communications with regulatory agencies and health authorities
• Providing support for staff who identify, write, revise, manage and implement standard operating procedures, work instructions, standard practices, protocols, and reports. Executing these tasks as an individual contributor, as applicable
Engaging, coaching, motivating and empowering staff to ensure their skills match their roles and to continually develop, thereby improving productivity and efficiency of the department operations.


Your experience and qualifications

Education
Minimum: BS/MS in relevant discipline
Preferred: PhD in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry

Experience
10-15+ years (BS/MS/PhD) in the (Bio)pharmaceutical industry with deep technical knowledge in physiochemical testing applications and one or more areas of drug development

Specialized Knowledge:
LIMS, TrackWise or VEEVA Quality Management Systems, Documentum Based Systems
