A Software Development Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of software developers to deliver high-quality software products and solutions. They work closely with stakeholders, such as product managers and business leaders, to understand the needs of the business and translate them into technical requirements for the development team. They are responsible for ensuring that the development team is able to deliver software on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the stakeholders. Software Development Managers also play a key role in mentoring and developing the members of the development team, and promoting a culture of quality, efficiency, and innovation. They also have a deep understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall, and use tools such as Jira and Trello to track progress and collaborate with team members. They also have experience with budgeting and resource allocation, and have strong communication and leadership skills.
