As an SAP Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating how existing or proposed SAP system solutions can best meet business needs. You will need to have superb knowledge of both SAP and IT systems, as well as a strong understanding of business operations. In this role, you will be in a business analysis and consultative role to ensure best practices are being utilized. This means that you'll be analyzing clients business needs, problems, and developing solutions with SAP systems, before the system is tested, and implemented. You will be progressing through the full system lifecycle - from business requirement gathering, through design and configuration, followed by deployment and implementation. Your engagement with customers is key, thus you'll need to have highly developed problem-solving skills and the ability to listen, question and discuss effectively. You'll need to be able to comprehend customer issues and propose implemented solutions quickly and accurately. You will be providing expertise, helping to discover new opportunities and develop strategies, while also improving and expanding existing definitions. In some cases, you will be involved in a project management role, responsible for managing, estimating and competing the SAP project. We’re looking for someone who is able to take the initiative and understand customers’ needs in order to assist in the successful implementation of innovative and IT-based solutions. A successful SAP Functional Consultant must strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. And, of course, you must have a sound knowledge of SAP functionality. Sound like you?
