SAP – Finance Project Systems – Manager

Your key responsibilities

As a Manager in Technology Analysis, you will manage and deliver high-quality processes, solutions, or projects with a focus on risk management. Your responsibilities will include continuous process improvement, innovation, and leveraging best practices. You will oversee professional employees or supervise teams to achieve complex technical initiatives. Expect to maintain billable client charging, lead delivery streams, manage projects, and engage with external clients daily. Travel may be required based on client needs.

• Lead and deliver quality SAP projects or workstreams. You will initiate the requirement gathering, architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, complete the workflow and documentation, as well as the functional design of the solution. Liaise with the stakeholders and technical team to translate needs into business solutions and complete the configurations and/or integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Consistently deliver quality client services. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
• Establish relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.
• Demonstrate strong decision-making skills in developing solutions for complex problems.
• Modify policies and establish procedures within the scope of work.
• Exercise sound judgment in selecting methods and criteria for obtaining results.
• Possess a functional understanding of system development lifecycle and technology business architecture frameworks.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A Bachelor's degree
• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience working with SAP Project Systems. In-depth knowledge of other SAP Finance modules is referred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills
• Experience managing an SAP project or workstream and project-based team members. Experience with hybrid onshore / offshore delivery model is desirable.
• Deep knowledge of Project System processes in multiple industries with ability to understand, communicate, and deliver complex requirements specific to the client.
• Knowledge of Project Systems leading practices, peer company environments and prior advisory experience relevant to specific finance and technology functions including but not limited to:

• • Project structural components (Project definition, WBS elements, Networks, Templates)
  • Project Planning, Budgeting, Milestones, Billing, MRP.
  • Advanced Results Analysis Methods
  • Resource Related Billing
  • Event-Based Revenue Recognition

• Experience in fulfilling requirements integrated with other SAP Modules:

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $142,600 to $261,500. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $171,200 to $297,200. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. Senior Project manager is responsible for delivering IT projects to schedule, budget and quality. The role requires mastery of the technical knowledge of project management inter-related process stages i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management. Proficiency in related processes such as portfolio management, program management, methods and tools and quality assurance is also required. Senior Project manager must have excellent stakeholder relationship management skills to successfully lead and manage the project team and project stakeholders, and have expertise recognized and requested by customers.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the development of project charters and scopes, ensuring the timely delivery of technology solutions that align with construction project schedules and budgets.
• Ensure alignment with relevant EY stakeholder playbooks for pre-initiate through project closure process’.

• Proven experience managing IT projects with accountability for delivering technology solutions in large, complex construction projects, typically valued up to $10 million and lasting 12 to 18 months.
• Mastery of project management methodologies, tools, and templates, with a focus on technology deployment in construction settings.
• Strong customer focus, characterized by openness, trust, and a commitment to delivering on promises.
• Experience managing contracts to ensure compliance from vendors and suppliers in technology-related agreements.

To qualify for the role you must have

• A degree in Computer Science, Construction Management, or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
• 15 to 20 years in a corporate IT environment
• 10 to 15 years of experience in project management, particularly in construction-related IT projects.
• Relevant experience in technical fields such as deployment/implementation, and infrastructure within the construction industry.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Project management certification (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2).
• Familiarity with ITIL v2 or v3.
• Work experience in a professional services industry, particularly in a construction based technology deployment role.

Technical Excellence

· Knowledge of IFRS’s for financial instruments

· Good communication skills in English

· Knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Access)
