As a Network Systems Engineer, your primary responsibility is to design, implement, and evaluate networks (wired, wireless, and wide area) to maximize performance and security. You may be required to monitor and maintain existing networks, solve technical problems, and configure routers, switches and firewalls to provide the highest level of availability and security. Our ideal Network Systems Engineer has a comprehensive understanding of internet protocols, excellent communication and troubleshooting skills, and a keen attention to detail. You should also be comfortable working with a variety of operating systems and technologies and be knowledgeable about the latest developments in the field. Other responsibilities may include creating and managing server farms, managing database systems, ensuring backups, developing and implementing network security strategies, and participating in network optimization projects.
