A Meeting Planner is a vital position for any tech company. Meeting Planners are responsible for planning and executing meetings, conferences, and conventions for their companies. Meeting Planners must be incredibly organized and detail-oriented in order to successfully plan out each event and all associated tasks.
At Expoint, Meeting Planners are tasked with booking venues, researching vendors and contractors, as well as creating and managing budgets. They also work with other team members to create and print event materials, create detailed checklists, assign tasks to staff, and set up and take down equipment. Meeting Planners must ensure that all event-related materials are accurately delivered and managed throughout the duration of the event.
In addition, the Meeting Planner’s role is to coordinate pre- and post-event follow-up meetings and calls. They are also responsible for analyzing and evaluating past events’ data and developing insights to inform future events purposes.
The ideal Meeting Planner candidate is highly organized and has excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills. Being able to work in a fast-paced environment is also important. A successful Meeting Planner can juggle multiple tasks, delegate tasks and responsibilities, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
With Expoint, Meeting Planners have the opportunity to make a real impact on the success of their company’s events and help to promote the company’s brand. If you are a creative, detail-oriented Meeting Planner, we encourage you to join us in our mission to help empower tech companies with the events they need to succeed.
