- Act as the Americas (North America and South America) cross regional subject matter expert on topology change management and infrastructure demand planning.- Work with network engineering to ensure that the highest degree of design consistency, network efficiency, cost optimization, and long-term scalability of the backbone network is delivered.- Compile topology information and performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements based on their findings.- Manage network change (migrations) as our network evolves to support increased traffic volumes and geographic expansion.- Translate backbone and edge forecasts into actionable network infrastructure projects.- Own network availability, performance and remediation plans to address non-compliance.- Document the physical infrastructure of the rest of world backbone infrastructureA day in the life
The Planner role focuses on driving backbone performance improvements and managing network planning across AMER region. Daily activities include coordinating with Business Development and Network Engineering teams to develop infrastructure plans, analyse performance metrics, and implement optimization strategies. You'll maintain topology documentation, manage network changes, and serve as a subject matter expert for cross-regional planning. The role requires strong analytical skills to translate forecasts into actionable projects while ensuring network efficiency and cost optimization. - A Bachelor's Degree in an IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 5-years telecommunications industry experience in a similar environment.
- Direct technical experience working in a company owning or operating long haul dark fiber networks and DWDM systems.
- Ability to demonstrate where they have influenced the planning, design, development, contracting, implementation, and operation of long-haul backbone networks.
- Extensive knowledge of IP peering ecosystems, fiber optic networks, submarine cables and the interconnection of these networks in order to obtain the highest availability for delivering online services globally.
- Demonstrated ability to formulate data driven decisions that lead to results.

- Experience working at a large network operator, OTT or Internet Service Provider.
- Experience with co-location ecosystem, and site selection and development for data-center and networking scaling and expansion projects.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate customer requirements and development of strategic plans.
- Experience interacting with senior executives and other management within your own company and externally; and working across commercial, technical, domestic, and international arms of an organization.

In this role, you will tailor and implement sales operations processes that manage tactical-to-strategic activities and enable KGS to meet long-range growth goals. You will translate data into strategy—aligning financial, operational, and business development insights to enhance decision-making, accelerate deal velocity, and strengthen Kuiper’s position across U.S. government markets.Key job responsibilities
Strategic Sales Operations & Lifecycle Management:
•Develop and execute scalable sales and pipeline management strategies that align with KGS’s long-range plan (LRP) and growth objectives.
•Build and optimize data-driven processes to forecast, track, and evaluate pipeline performance across Defense, National Security, and Civil markets.
•Lead the design of integrated reporting ecosystems and dashboards that unify financial, business development, and operational insights for leadership visibility.
•Implement and improve process governance across Pursue/No-Pursue, Bid/No-Bid, and Propose phases to ensure consistency, velocity, and compliance.
•Sustain unified, consistent and accurate reporting of business growth efforts across the organization.Business Planning & Intelligence:
•Establish frameworks to analyze sales trends, evaluate performance metrics, and identify opportunities for operational improvement and market expansion.
•Align Finance, Business Development, and Operations functions around shared data sets and performance expectations.
•Analyze business data to assess pipeline health against benchmarks and identify opportunities for enhancements
•Deliver and implement strategic recommendations to leadership based on pipeline analytics, market signals, and Voice of the Customer insights.Cross-Functional Enablement & Strategic Communication:
•Partner with product, service, and capture teams to articulate Kuiper’s value proposition and roadmap to U.S. government customers.
•Transform Voice of the Customer data into actionable insights that shape KGS’s product, service, and business development strategies.
•Enable executive decision-making through structured communication, strategic reporting, and clear articulation of growth priorities.This position is located in Arlington, VA. Some travel, primarily domestic, will be required.Security Clearance: This position requires that the selected candidate be a US Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI.

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field
- 4+ years of experience in sales operations, business operations, or strategic planning.
- 4+ years of experience using Salesforce or equivalent CRM platform.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

- 5+ years of experience in sales operations, finance, or business management, ideally in the government or technology sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and maintaining a structured sales pipeline and lifecycle management process.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Einstein Analytics, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Clear understanding of industry business development benchmarks
- Understanding of government SATCOM needs and acquisition processes.
- Proven success developing scalable business operations frameworks that enable growth and efficiency.
