Mainframe Developer jobs

As a Mainframe Developer at Expoint, you will play a major role in developing and maintaining the mainframe server infrastructure that powers the tech industry. You will be responsible for designing, developing and testing mainframe applications and related software, as well as controlling and maintaining the mainframe network system. Your primary duties include troubleshooting software- and hardware-related problems, providing technical assistance to customers, and providing support and guidance to other members of the Expoint team. You’ll be expected to track and document system-performance data, identify potential issues and implement solutions. Additionally, you may work on more advanced projects such as developing and upgrading mainframe systems, learning new programming languages, and providing feedback on design changes. You should possess the technical skills and knowledge required to design, develop and maintain mainframe systems, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate with various teams, users and customers. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, along with experience in mainframe development and a working knowledge of basic programming languages.
