Linux Engineer jobs

As a Linux Engineer for Expoint, you will provide system engineering services for Ubuntu, CentOS, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. You will configure and install servers, develop scripts, and deploy technology to be used for applications. Your main focus will be to make sure the Linux environment is running optimally and to find ways to improve the service we provide to our customers. In this role, you will be working in both physical and virtual environments implementing new hardware and software, participate in development projects, and provide support services. You will be responsible for troubleshooting any operational issues as they arise and coordinate server builds, patches, and updates. You will also be required to create and maintain documentation related to the Linux environment. You will be actively involved in the design of new systems and be responsible for working with the system administrators and network engineers to make sure the Linux environment is running efficiently. To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrated experience working in a Linux environment, excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated expertise in scripting and scripting languages.
