The Configuration Manager role is an essential member of the Expoint team, responsible for developing and implementing enterprise configuration and management plans for IT systems and networks. This job involves overseeing the development and maintenance of system configuration documentation and documentation, such as designs and diagrams, to maintain system integrity and security. Configuration Managers also have to create and manage procedures and guidelines to ensure a standardized and controllable environment. They must provide guidance and assistance and ensure that the configuration of systems and networks is properly documented, managed and maintained in accordance with established standards and corporate policies. Another part of this job includes coordinating incidents, problem management and project management to maintain an effective and efficient infrastructure. The Configuration Manager must be organized and have excellent communication skills, as they will be required to collaborate with a variety of technical teams and personnel across departments. They are expected to stay abreast of IT developments, so ongoing professional training may be required. Expoint looks for individuals who have advanced knowledge of server-level hardware, operating systems, system scripting, and software configuration management tools. Candidates will have several years of experience in enterprise systems and must have expertise in scripting and systems automation tools. The Configuration Manager must be able to work independently, efficiently manage time and multiple priorities, and troubleshoot and solve problems. To succeed in this position, this individual must possess the self-motivation to continue learning new technologies, be highly organized and reliable, and have a passion for working with IT and problem-solving.
