Are you passionate about using technical skills to create sound and quality audio? As an audio engineer, you ensure the end product for clients meet and exceed expectations.
At Expoint, audio engineers are responsible for the recording and mixing of audio, including music, sound effects, voice-overs and interviews. They operate various audio equipment such as synthesizers and mixing consoles, external signal processors and digital audio workstations to create high-quality audio.
In the studio, audio engineers work with producers, directors and artists to manipulate, compress and create sound. They manage multiple sound sources, making sure the mix is balanced, dynamic and clean. They will troubleshoot and adjust equipment, test and evaluate the acoustics of each studio and make all necessary sound adjustments for the desired results.
Outside of the studio, audio engineers also create and mix sound for broadcast shows and live events, including bands, plays, clubs, conferences and more. The responsibilities may include setting up microphones, soundboards and sound systems, ensuring proper sound quality and troubleshooting technical problems.
As an audio engineer, you should be technically proficient and have an ear for sound. You should understand the acoustics and sound dynamics of recording spaces, mixing for multiple speakers and room correction techniques. You should also be comfortable with a variety of audio software tools, techniques and hardware. On top of that, excellent communication and problem-solving skills are a must.
