Description:
Perform the daily operations of the plant to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Impacts the team’s ability to achieve safety, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. Team management of salaried employees. This does not include production supervisors who oversee hourly employees.

  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.

  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.

  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years production, supply chain experience or leadership or High School diploma/GED and 10 years production or supply chain experience.

  • Led teams of 10–20 personnel, fostering collaboration and achieving production and delivery targets.

  • Managed end-to-end supply chain or manufacturing projects, with the ability to identify & implement best practices along with delivering on time and within budget.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field

  • 5+ years of experience in verbal and written communication across cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.

  • MBA or Master’s degree

The AWS Commissioning team (ACx) understands, evaluates, defines and manages the expectations of construction quality in accordance to engineering designs to meet the customer requirements.Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for supporting vendors, contractors and other teams involved in the construction and commissioning of various systems such as:-Medium and low voltage power systems
-Generators
-UPS
-HVAC
-Chilled Water Systems
-Building Management systems (BMS)
-Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
-Testing and balancing
-Pumps and Hydronic systemsThe CxE shall provide multi-discipline input into the scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects. In addition, the CxE will be required to review component submittal packages, lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT), perform system level and integrated system testing. During commissioning, the CxE will continuously audit activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for comprehensive weekly reporting of status of all ongoing projects and lessons learned to continually improve the quality of our program. This position will include coverage of multiple inflight projects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience directly related to mission critical facilities or data center infrastructure, Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline preferred
3+ years of commissioning experience
Certification or training specific to NETA, ASHRAE, or Commissioning specific education courses
Ability and willingness to travel domestic and internationally for approximately 50% of the time
Required to provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook required; advanced knowledge of SharePoint (or similar) preferred.
Effective communication skills, detail oriented, highly organized, and able to work in high stress environments to maintain calm and respectful interaction with multiple teams
Advance knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for critical infrastructures
Ability to read and edit construction documents (design drawings, control diagrams, specifications, etc.)
Experience developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components based on design intent and approved equipment submittals
