What a typical day looks like:

  • Handle product transfer and new product set up.
  • Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on production line.
  • Suggest improvements to process to obtain improved quality and production yield.
  • Solve product related problems and perform failure evaluation related to product issues.
  • Interact with customer and various departments on product related issues
  • Work with design team to resolve design related issues.
  • Suggest modification to work instructions, material, or product changes to ensure excellent quality of products.
  • Customer´s Bill of Material (BOM) evaluation and structure definition for production
  • Functional Product Documentation review
  • Safety Requirements and regulations compliance identification
  • Engineering Drawings Interpretation of parts and assemblies.
  • Request customer for drawing corrections, additions, clarification, measurements methods
  • Manage Engineering Changes Implementation
  • Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM), tolerance evaluation, Design of Experiment (DOE), form-fit-function to define failure root/cause evaluation and reporting to customer
  • Provide support to supply chain to integrate parts derived from the vertical integration or localization effort
  • Provide product training to themanufacturing/processengineers for better understanding of the product.
  • Request, handle and administrate golden samples, engineering samples of final product and/or piece parts
  • Establish, operate, and maintain a standard method for technical information interchange with the customer to control and preserve information of NPI transferred projects

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
  • Ability to analyze problems, design experiments, conduct a design for manufacturing analysis, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Knowledge on metrology measurement methods, engineering drawing interpretations, Parts and assemblies analysis using CAD system

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 4+ years of Product/UX Design experience.
  • Professional product design experience—specifically in web application design systems—demonstrated via a portfolio or something similar.
  • Considerable knowledge of design best practice and aesthetics.
  • Expert-level skillset with Figma and considerable experience creating, maintaining, and evolving design systems.
  • Expert-level verbal and written communication skills, particularly when conveying design rationale and encouraging consistency between design patterns and the written code.
  • Solid understanding of and experience with frontend web development standards and practices including WCAG, code variables, syncing tokens between design and code, and other modern capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Accountability for business and financial targets of the OEM products owned. Integrate and develop relationships/ processes that meet Surgical Imaging (OEC) growth needs, manage complex issues within the product area of expertise, and contribute to the overall AVS – Surgical Innovations business growth strategy.
  • Lead Voice of Customer / Voice of Sales activities and manage the new product pipeline working closely with engineering, manufacturing and other cross functional teams of the third-Party OEMs.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of self and others to regularly update and support sales, service and clinical teams on product offerings, market dynamics, competitive analysis, sales setups, customer issues and use analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how the OEM product integrates with the surgical ecosystem and other surgical imaging products within Surgical Imaging portfolio; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems with projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers.
  • Ability to prioritize information for decision making. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Ability to succinctly convey customer expectations and product performance issues with the third-party OEM with appropriate sensitivity.
  • Own necessary cyber security commercial actions across GEHC Surgical Imaging product portfolio.

  • This role will mainly be in an individual contributor capacity. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Marketing, Engineering, Science, Business Administration or another related field
  • 5 years of experience in Product Management or Product /Service(s) Development function) or another related field.
  • Strong analytical and process skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this position.
  • Must be able to work onsite daily out of our Salt Lake City, UT, location. We offer a generous relocation package.
