Key Responsibilities

Assists in planning the daily work schedule within assigned territory to ensure completion of Preventive Maintenance and remedial maintenance.

Uses escalation policies as required to keep management informed of down situations.

Verifies and approves the operational quality of system equipment. Performs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, biannual, and annual periodic maintenance on systems within established time frames. Also performs wet cleans as required. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of systems.

Troubleshoots and corrects process variations on systems partially with assistance from senior engineers.

Performs start-up, warranty, paid service, and service contract activities. Performs TIER II start-ups within established time frames. Assists on TIER III start-ups. Provides technical assistance to less experienced Applied personnel. Uses training and experience to identify some process related system problems.

Develops and implements plans to increase productivity. Tracks equipment performance and plan uptime improvement. Has a working knowledge of Statistical Process Control. Utilises Quality Improvement Process methods and terminology.

Plans and executes support activities on a wide range of Applied Materials' systems. May need technical assistance in performance of daily responsibilities.

Other Requirements: This is a physically demanding position that often requires extensive walking, standing for extended periods of time, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 35 lbs., the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and powertools. Additionally,because this position generally involves working in a clean room, it requires the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.

  • Drive business and service strategies to achieve customer loyalty and manage relationships with regional sales. Implement customer-focused solutions, ensure Net Promoter Score excellence, and adhere to escalation processes.
  • Build and execute the region's business plan aligned with strategy and goals while driving operational performance and compliance. Partner with Business Operations to boost efficiency, delegate metrics, and ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Own and drive financial results (full profit/loss responsibilities) for the region while developing a business plan focused on growth and productivity. Work cross-functionally to manage risks and identify growth opportunities.
  • Prioritize and execute strategic and tactical initiatives to balance revenue growth, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Focus on customer retention, service price realization, and increasing contract capture rates by collaborating with sales teams.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders (business line management, field sales distribution channels and management, field service distribution channels and management, administrative functions, technical innovation, and support services) to meet the needs of a diverse customer base.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 5+ years of direct and/or indirect experience in leadership within service delivery, service operations, or other related field. Diagnostic imaging or related healthcare technology background highly preferred.
  • Your skills include solid experience managing a profit/loss business and the ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives to generate growth in revenue; ability to create competitive strategies and plans.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree Business Management, Engineering, Health Science, Architecture, or other related field of study.
  • You have excellent leadership, teamwork, influencing, mentoring, coaching, and interpersonal skills; excellent analytical, organization, and time management skills; effective communication skills including demonstrated stand-up presentation skills, group facilitation, and ability to effectively interact with customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
