Responsibilities:

  • Distribute debt/equity products to assigned account base with limited direction from more senior associates.

  • Develop and maintain client relationships and determine which products best meet clients' investment needs.

  • Study market relationships and current market conditions to increase account/market penetration.

  • Educate clients on various hedging products that can mitigate potential exposures and assist in the execution of hedging strategies.

  • Evaluate clients' business to identify potential exposures.

  • Assist clients in implementing required ISDA and Dodd Frank documentation to execute hedging transaction.

  • Facilitate desk-client interaction, generating innovative trade ideas and assessing the credit and macroeconomic environment.

  • Work on pitches and live transactions, including modeling, portfolio analysis, investor analysis, as well as prepare presentations and review legal documentation.

  • Interact with rating agencies, investors, asset managers, and lawyers.

  • Identify revenue opportunities for equity and fixed income financial derivatives.

  • Analyze financial instruments including equities, bonds, futures, swaps to advise clients on the best implementation route for their investments.

  • Evaluate the market environment to structure and distribute financial derivatives for clients to gain market access and/or hedge their portfolios efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Identify revenue opportunities for equity and fixed income financial derivatives;

  • Analyze financial instruments including equities, bonds, futures, swaps to advise clients on the best implementation route for their investments;

  • Originate new Precious Metals solutions for clients, working closely with Structuring to create bespoke structures that combine aspects of investing, financing, hedging and physical metal trading
  • Responsible for growing the Precious Metals P&L of clients and oversee the sales process from origination to revenue realization for assigned clients
  • Primary regional point of contact for clients in the Americas and accountable for sales origination, development of products and services to deepen wallet penetration, revenue realization and expansion, and driving customer satisfaction through quality service delivery
  • Identify client goals & financial needs that can be addressed through Structured Commodities products
  • Refine and implement sales/marketing strategy to improve Citi's client footprint and maximize associated revenue while working withmanagement/colleaguesto establish a clear marketing plan with defined priorities, market penetration and revenue goals

  • Champion multi-product and/or cross-regional solutions and pricing through the deal review process (Product Sales will be responsible for overall proposal creation and deal review)
  • Ensure global team communication (e.g. call reports, CRM, emails)
  • Drive overall client satisfaction with the Commodities platform and build customer loyalty
  • Respond to customer escalation for operational/customer service issues, including complex or cross-geography issues
  • Lead strong governance and controls
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
