What you’ll achieve

As aTechnical Staff, Data Center Power Architect, you will participate in the development of next generation large scale AI Infrastructure including accelerated compute, AI fabrics and AI optimized storage. You will have the opportunity to engage with high profile AI customers to optimize solutions for their applications and tune the system for maximum performance.Drive innovation atlevel with liquid cooling technologies and power density.


You will:

  • Engage with high profile AI customers to optimize solutions for their applications

  • Be responsible for driving the architecture of end-to-end solutions from server to data center, including air and liquid cooled servers, integrated rack solutions, power distribution and heat rejection

  • Innovate power-centric solutions for increasingly dense IT environments

  • Optimize cost, energy efficiency and performance from IT to the datacenter

  • Work closely with key external partners to create and communicate differentiated solutions and c


Essential Requirements

  • 15+ years of professional experience and working knowledge of data center power distribution and thermal technologies from servers to the data hall

  • Product architecture/design, testing/compliance, and installation/operational experience with high power data center equipment (MV/LV transformers, solid state transformers, energy storage, switchgear, panel boards and distribution):

  • Working experience and certifications for UL508A, CE (IEC 60204, 61439), OSHA, NEC (NFPA 70, 70B, 70E), NERC
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of and relationships with key suppliers of data center power and thermal management components

  • Ability to travel and to assess customer requirements, develop blueprint based on the customer's geographical area with strong verbal and written communication skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering(Advanced degree highly preferred)

  • Customer and partner project/program leadership experience

You will:

  • Understand the customer’s strategic, organizational and business challenges and offer solutions as they relate to the future business environment and operational objectives
  • Provide expertise on technical architectural design, strategies and plans for future solutions as well as advise on requirements to perform assigned technical implementations
  • Share your experience and support less experienced co-workers through formal training or on-the-job mentoring
  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of information requires evaluation of identifiable factors to assess unusual circumstances and use sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify cause
  • Work independently, with work being reviewed at critical points

    • DISA ACAS – Deploy/Configure/Manager TenableSC, Nessus, NNM
    • DISA STIG – Hardening Experience, SCAP, STIG Viewer, Evaluate-STIG
    • VMware vSphere – Install/Troubleshoot/Maintain, Horizon/VDI, DVS, vSAN, Automation
  • On-hands experience with Dell Hardware – PowerEdge, PowerScale/Isilon, PowerStore, PowerSwitch/OS10, Unity, VxRail

Desirable Requirements:

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong trouble-shooting skills and adept verbal and written skills and demonstrated ability to document processes for the customer
