Responsibilities :

• Learn to complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance, FMIs and/or ISIs.
• Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
• Work with experienced field engineers on basic troubleshooting and service repair needs on designated equipment.
• Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues.
• Learn to effectively communicate with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
• Partner with the customer and recommend value-added services that will help the customer run their business more efficiently.
• Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner, ordering repair parts, and managing cycle times.
• Utilize the GEHC escalation process, as needed, and work closely with region and national support to define and implement corrective action plans to resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
• Serve as a member of the account community for key accounts.
• Effectively engage commercial counterparts, identify potential sales leads, participate in sales opportunities such as contract renewals, and assist with promoting and implementing revenue programs.
• Focus on customer needs and satisfaction, while building on and enhancing the relationship with the customer to ultimately become a perceived partner in their business.
• Keep up to date with competitor information and market trends.
• Answer service calls independently without assistance within one year of employment.

Qualifications :

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and 4 or more years of experience servicing electronic equipment.
• Experience with Web applications as well as Microsoft suite of products.
• The successful applicant must comply with GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test. In addition, during employment, the employee must comply with all customer access policies, including but not limited to obtaining and/or providing proof of required immunizations, and additional drug tests or background checks (including a federal government background check if assigned to support a contract with the federal government).

Special Physical Requirements:

• Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time. Candidate must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Willingness to be available ""after hours"", or work a rotating On-Call schedule, including weekends, for critical issues and coverage, as necessary.

• The purpose of the fastening engineer is:
  • Lead global fastening tooling and standards to support future programs, campaign prevention, and reaction plans for Ford North America Final Assembly manufacturing facilities.
  • Lead program-specific fastening project and strategy during development phase of the program through sourcing and Purchase order issuance.
  • Execute overall fastening strategy, seeing it through to delivery -and- implementation
  • Define, maintain, and update fastening tooling standards
  • Assist in the development of and ensure full alignment on program costing

In this position…

The BlueOval SK Occupational Safety and Risk Manager is accountable for the performance and results of the Occupational Safety team. The role ensures the administration of plant-wide safety processes, emergency response planning, and compliance with regulatory requirements, with consistency in a timely manner. The role closely partners with Health & Safety leadership to address complex general and occupational safety issues and collaborates with various departments. The role also supervises the maintenance of accurate documentation, administration of investigations, inspections, and root cause analyses. The role has expertise in interpreting and administering corporate health and Safety policies, Safety regulations, and best practices, analyzing trends, and providing guidance to contribute to the company’s over-arching effort to prevent employee injuries and illnesses and the elimination of hazards in the work environment. The role has limited to full management authority for staffing, performance, discipline, pay decisions, team development, and other personnel actions.

• EH&S Compliance: Ensure maintained compliance to relevant local, state, and federal regulations; implement industry standards. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Risk Awareness: Perform regular risk assessments, job hazards analysis, and facility inspections. Identify issues, mentor and lead site teams in the development of a corrective action plan to address root causes.
• Business Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with Operations Managers, Security, Facilities, Global Health & Safety, and other key leadership to align safety initiatives with business goals. Serve as a trusted adviser to site team.
• Incident Management: Own response and investigation processes for incidents and near misses. Identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and track follow-ups.
• Continuous Improvement: Use data-driven analysis and PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) methodology, measure performance, and improve the efficiency of the safety management system.
• Management of Change: Driving a robust process to ensure safety and health implications are accounted for. Identify, recommend, and verify control measures for operational changes on-site.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in occupational health and safety, science, engineering, or related field. Understanding of EH&S regulations and compliance requirements (OSHA, NFPA, EPA, ANSI, etc)
• 2-5+ years EH&S experience, solid understanding of EHS Management systems. (ISO 45001, ANSI Z10, etc.)
• Experience running and leading a successful safety committee.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, training development and delivery experience.
• Relevant certifications (OSHA 40hr, ASP/CSP/GSP, NEBOSH, etc.)
• This is an on-site position in Louisville, KY.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

Rate of Pay and Benefits:

are paid a top hourly base rate of $43.800, plus applicable shift, overtime, and holiday premiums. The starting rate for this position is $43.600 with pay increases to the top rate upon completion of three consecutive months of employment.

In this position...

• The Engineer III - Occupational Safety, working under general direction and as a contributing team member, is responsible for applying technical safety standards, principles, theories, and concepts, to independently develop approaches to solutions for a wide range of difficult occupational safety problems such as hazard control and prevention, safety systems and equipment, compliance, risk, etc. with consistency in a timely manner.
• The role coordinates with other team members to implement plant-wide safety processes such as the Company’s Safety Operating System (SOS), emergency response planning, safety training, and the application of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts.
• This role would also work with senior engineers and managers to contribute to the completion of milestones within specific projects as per function priorities.
