Description: What You’ll Do - Design, build, develop, integrate, and deploy machine vision, robot guidance, and vision-based process control systems into manufacturing equipment
- Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and carefully balance product specifications with process requirements, complexity, lead-time, and cost
- Collaborate with other machine vision experts to define standard conventions and develop innovative solutions to machine vision challenges
- Provide training and mentorship for machine vision work being done by other members of the team
What You’ll Bring - At least 5+ years of relevant professional experience with vision systems and automation
- Proficiency developing vision algorithms with common vision platforms (i.e., Halcon, Keyence, Fanuc iR Vision, OpenCV)
- Experience specifying the vision system hardware including cameras, lights, lenses, frame grabbers, displacement sensors, laser profilers
- Experience developing vision applications using common languages (e.g., VB, C++, C#, Python)
- Experience commissioning vision systems for 2D/3D quality inspection, robot guidance, and process control
- Familiarity with industrial protocols (i.e., Profinet & EthernetIP)
- Familiarity creating design of experiments (DOEs) and test plans for manufacturing or controls processes
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
