Job Summary:

As a Collateral Perfection Specialist in the Real Estate Team, you will ensure the lien on collateral is accurately managed and documented. You will support Business Banking, Commercial & Investment Banking, and the Commercial Term Lending portfolio by reviewing collateral files, preparing legal documentation, and assisting internal departments with collateral disposition.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research and obtain outstanding recorded loan documents via phone/email contact with third parties.
  • Conduct quality reviews of recorded loan documents to ensure accuracy and lien position.
  • Obtain and review outstanding title policies for accuracy and lien position.
  • Perform notary duties.
  • Conduct collateral file reviews and prepare/mark-up schedules, including for loan Consolidation Extension Modification Agreements (CEMAs).
  • Prepare commercial loan documents accurately and with high attention to detail.
  • Provide back-up support for peers.
  • Participate in projects and working groups as required.
  • Understand and follow Bank policy and established procedures.
  • Meet or exceed established Service Level Agreements.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 5 years of loan operations experience in a banking or financial services industry.
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and/or preparing real estate legal loan documents.
  • Detail-oriented with a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Customer service oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Team-oriented and technologically adept.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Must be willing to interact verbally and in writing with third parties professionally.
  • Must be able to lift 30LBs (collateral files/boxes).
  • Must be (or be able to become) a Notary.

  • Experience with commercial real estate legal loan documents.

Job Purpose

Responsibilities

  • Create and update EDS mortgage disclosure, origination, and closing forms used by our customers and investors in the mortgage industry. Forms must be accurate and compliant, with extreme attention to detail, and must follow established EDS design standards.
  • Work with requestors to clarify specifications and requirements for new and modified EDS forms. Recommend alternative methods or designs as appropriate to improve the quality or usability of a form.
  • Provide ongoing communication to the EDS Publishing team manager and team members regarding the status of, and any issues associated with, requested EDS forms.
  • Collaborate with ICE team members and subject-matter-experts as required to research, create, and maintain customer-facing and internal matrices and publications related to new and existing EDS forms, form releases, specifications, and design standards, as well as internal procedures and tools, to be published on the EDS SharePoint Site, Encompass Resource Center, and Encompass Compliance Center. Documentation may include:
    • Pending Document Release Matrix
    • Document Release Notification Matrix
    • Opening and Closing Disclosure Matrices
    • Investor Plan Code Matrix
    • State Recordable Document Margin Specifications
    • Forms Design Standards
    • Form Library Tool User Guide
    • Internal Procedures and Processes
  • Review and edit draft versions of forms and documentation created by teammates
  • Perform form testing and validate test results
  • Participate as a member of the NDEF Agile development team

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum two years’ experience in developing and designing forms and other publications
  • PC proficiency including MS Office applications, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience producing ADA accessible documents
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Proven proficiency in proofreading and editing
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops training programs and learning materials using a variety of learning methodologies designed for classroom and web-based delivery mediums; integrating adult learning theory and creativity into all design elements for the creation of an interactive and effective learning experience.
  • Determines and develops appropriate training solutions for assigned projects, based on the outcome of analyzing business needs, performance goals, and audience.
  • Creates, deploys, and maintains eLearning solutions using tools such as dominKnow, Area 9, SymTrain, and Adobe Creative Suite. Solutions include WBTs, systems and business simulations, scenario and game-based learning, audio, video, and additional media, as needed.
  • Participates in the program design process by conducting needs assessments; task analysis; research of knowledge tasks; working with subject matter experts to validate content; and the creation of supporting design documents including story boards and mock-ups. Development includes constructing end-user classroom materials, facilitator guides, assessments, and writing supporting documentation
  • Creates measurement strategy for client solutions to include the overall assessment approach.
  • Reviews and tests learning products for quality and adherence to technical standards.
  • Researches current industry best practices in learning as well as eLearning and applies in instructional solutions

Qualifications:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or comparable experience in eLearning, Instructional Design, or a related field and/or eLearning Technical Certifications from certified institutions and experience. Other qualifications include:

  • 4 + years of InstructionalDesign/eLearning/multi-mediaexperience
  • Experience with the following content authoring tools desired: dominKnow, Brainshark, Area9, Symtrain. Adobe, Articulate Studio, Camtasia, SnagIt, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premier Pro, After Effects, and Audition

  • Experience design – knowledge and experience in creating user interfaces that facilitates the best learning experience
  • Adult Education in a financial services and/or corporate setting a plus
