This is a defined term position with an expected duration of 1 year.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying the opportunities for continuous improvement and initiates activities to support the improvement process.
• Leading quality projects of major magnitude and scope.
• Providing significant guidance and approval regarding technical strategies and approaches.
• Managing and providing direction to quality engineers on professional, personnel issues, and provides development opportunities.
• Providing guidance and training to staff, assists subordinates in attaining career goals, motivates individuals to achieve results, and recruits and maintains a high quality staff.
• Participating on team projects and assignments, facilitating or leading teams as necessary.
• Determining project staff assignments and schedules work to meet completion dates and deliverables.
• Working cross-functionally in identifying and resolving technical issues.
• Driving and evaluates project and department progress and results.
• Providing guidance and decisions on Operations and Design Control activities to ensure continued compliance with internal BSC procedures, and applicable regulatory and international standards as defined in the BSC Quality Policy and site Compliance Matrix.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor degree
• Minimum of 7 years experience in medical device or similar regulated industry
• Minimumof 4 years leading cross functional teams in a technical field
• Able to travel 1-2 times a year

Preferred qualifications:

• More than 10 year of experience in Medical Devices or similar regulated industry
• Higher education MBA, MS in science or engineering
• Neuromodulation device experience, capital equipment experience
• Experience working with TUV, BSI, FDA etc
• Boston Scientific experience

Maximum Salary: $ 243000

About the role:

The Neuromodulation PMO is seeking a strategic and collaborativeto lead product integration initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams. In this role, you will provide leadership to a high-performing team of New Product Development (NPD) project managers, ensuring seamless execution of integration activities across the portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include:

● Coaching and developing project managers to ensure successful execution of New Product Development (NPD) programs.● Building trusted, influential relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across all levels of the organization.● Collaborating closely with Marketing, Finance, R&D, Clinical, Quality, Operations, and Regulatory to develop and execute strategic product integration plans that maintain our global leadership position.● Owning accountability for the cost, schedule, and performance of all integration products within the portfolio.● Contributing to PMO senior leadership initiatives, including resource allocation and capability development across the organization.● Applying project management expertise and strategic thinking to align integration activities with key business objectives.● Communicating clearly, credibly, and decisively to senior-level leadership within the division and broader matrix organization.● Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies, including FDA, BSI, and EEO standards.

● Bringing previous product integration experience to guide planning and execution.

Required qualifications:
● Minimum of 8 years' broad, cross-functional experience in the medical device industry, including product development.● Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority across a matrixed environment.● Proven experience navigating regulated environments while delivering business results.

● Bachelor’s degree.

● Willingness to relocate to Valencia, California, or ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

About the role:

In this role, the Associate Director will be leading exploratory R&D work developing next-generation platforms for Neuromodulation. Responsibilities will include managing a team of PhD-level scientists and engineers and working cross-functionally with colleagues in R&D, Marketing, Clinical, and PMO to drive innovation in devices for the treatment of neurological disorders, including Spinal Cord Stimulation and Deep Brain Stimulation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a team of PhD level scientists and engineers responsible for driving and executing complex neuromodulation research projects of the following types:

• • Computational modeling studies
  • Collaborative pre-clinical studies
  • Exploratory clinical studies

• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop a strategy and roadmap for the aforementioned studies, aligning research activities with business objectives
• Lead the development and documentation of next-generation neurostimulation systems throughout exploratory and technology development phases
• Serve as a subject matter expert on neuromodulation therapies to support product development and regulatory submissions
• Build external collaborations with academic institutions or private partners as needed to answer scientific questions

Required qualifications:

• Masters degree in neuromodulation, neuroscience, neuroengineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field and at least 10 years of professional experience in Research & Development, or a minimum of 7 years of R&D experience specifically within the medical device industry
• 5+ years’ experience in a management role
• Proven success in leading early-stage product development for medical devices, driving innovations from concept through feasibility
• Extensive experience designing and executing pre-clinical and clinical research studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory and scientific standards
• Skilled in customer-facing collaboration, engaging directly with physicians, scientists, and other technical/medical professionals to gather insights and build strong partnerships.
• Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD in neuromodulation, neuroscience, neuroengineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field
• Prior experience with neuromodulation devices, including design, testing, or clinical use
• Track record of building and driving collaborations between industry and academia, including grant-writing and publications
• Strong public speaking skills; ability to deliver presentations to scientific and medical professionals
