ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support maintenance with equipment troubleshooting in conjunction with both scheduled and unscheduled down time events.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex unscheduled failures to root cause and document for future reference.
  • Provide inputs to Equipment Engineering, and / or maintenance team for improving PM cycle-time, tool availability, quality/workmanship, reduce wafer scrap and cost of ownership.
  • Provide Technical On-the-Job training for maintenance personnel.
  • Support Equipment Engineering to define and write preventive maintenance procedures, BKM’s, OCAP’s, and / or new equipment parts inventory and stocking.
  • Support engineering with scrap mitigation, obsolescence, increase equipment OEE, and other equipment KPI’s.
  • Monitor Artist, SPC, Spotfire, PdM for assigned equipment improvement.
  • Support engineering projects, upgrades, retrofits, and installations.
Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Technical degree in Electronics, Military experience, or Semiconductor Industries experience.
  • Must have excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Min 3 Years’ Experience in Vacuum Technologies.
  • Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams and assembly drawings.
  • Understanding of failure mechanisms, ability to isolate determine root cause and repair.
  • Proficient in MS Windows Software (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook) & Forum Notes
  • Effective team player with proven relationship building & communication skills, including cross-functionally with Maintenance, Manufacturing, Engineering, Peers, Management, Customers, and Suppliers.
  • Knowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control)
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.

SKILLS:

  • Senior Level equipment maintenance technical experience.
  • Robust background in electronics and mechanical troubleshooting and vacuum theory.
  • Strong experience utilizing troubleshooting equipment, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized alignment tooling etc.
  • Team player able to negotiate cross functional disciplines.
  • Leadership qualities and project management skills.
  • Vacuum PVD – CVC, ASM ALD, TELMS, MeiVac, Veeco, and Anelva systems, etc.
  • Deposition, Beam Etch & Ion Mill – Veeco IBE, DLC 350, Veeco RF350 & RF 240 Ion Mill, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Schedule: 11AM to 11PM Thursday to Saturday and every other Wednesday

  • Perform daily job duties to help in processing wafers in CMP area.
  • In-depth knowledge of slurry types, to help PE/EE/Chem identify if problem is slurry related and to make necessary changes if needed under given OCAPs
  • Perform basic operation of different CMP tools in both manual and automatic mode as well as basic troubleshooting to identify if failure is CMP tool/process/recipe related.
  • Perform basic operation of metrology tools (NANO, WYKO, ZYGO) as well as basic troubleshooting to identify if point of failure is metrology tool/recipe related.
  • Perform non-standard process and can create/edit process recipe as well as create/edit wafer level CRMS.
  • Good understanding of SPC chart and how to react to different warnings according to SPEC/OCAP as well as analyzing the CMP process/tool performance using basic knowledge in statistics/data analysis.
  • Disposition hold wafer according to SPEC or disposition criteria provided by PE. Also capable of dispositioning hold wafer with own judgement based on risk assessment/process expertise / related previous experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT-related application/software such as CRMs, APC, CMP calculator, MITECS, GS3, TSD report, EDCSPC, SPC chart, Fabtime, etc. Need to understand what data gets/goes from/to where.
  • Notify PE/MFG if there's any suspected excursion. Do preliminary investigation and identify/hold all potentially affected wafers to contain the problem and minimize the impact.
  • Lead and support team project.

CMP Equipment

  • Understand consumables.
  • Understanding MIRRA config, zones, presssure, etc.
  • Understanding of carrier build on NTEGs
  • Understanding Ebara configuration, top ring, dresser build and overall tool function
  • Clear understanding of DNS, SSEC and Ebara cleaning tool configuration and recipe principals
  • Slurry configuration on the tools
  • Cleaning chemicals on the tools

PREFERRED:

  • Prefferred AA Degree.
  • 5 or more years wafer manufacturing hands-on experience
  • Must have strong computer skills, including knowledge of Windows and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be a self-starter and quick learner.
  • Must be able to solve problems and troubleshoot minor process and equipment related issues.
